Rose McGowan

"Rose") McGowan was born on the 5th of September in 1973. She is an
American actress. After her film debut in an uncredited role in the comedy
Encino Man (1992), McGowan achieved wider recognition for her performance in
the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995) which earned her an Independent
Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance. Her breakthrough role came
in the horror film Scream in the year 1996. Her next film was the films
Jawbreaker (1999) as well as Devil in the Flesh (2000). McGowan's character as
Paige Matthews on the WB supernatural drama Charmed (2001-2006) was her most
well-known character. McGowan also appeared in Quentin Tarantino and Robert
Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) and for which she received
nominations both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and for the Scream Award
as Best Scream Queen. The album she released her debut album on, Planet 9, was
released in the year of 2018. It was followed by a repackaging of Planet 9 in
2020. McGowan was awarded the title of Silence Breakers in 2017 by Time
magazine. The award honors McGowan's efforts to combat sexual harassment and
sexual assault especially in relation to Harvey Weinstein cases of sexual
assault and the Me Too movement. Brave is her memoir. Citizen Rose was her
documentary series. Both were released in 2018.
