Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actor as well as a director and musician. She has directed numerous episodes of TV, including Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing Director of Dick Wolf’s CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was one of eight women selected for AFI’s most prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She was also a participant in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV series as well as a short film. With Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort It was awarded the award for Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival as in addition to the Best Pilot award at the SoHo International Film Festival. The film she made, Temporary (2017) was screened throughout the United States. She won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor, Milena has been featured in over 100 episodes of television. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She was then the first and only female detective on Law & Order (1990). The actress has appeared on or reprised on a variety of other shows: K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family); and as Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has also appeared in various films, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011), starring opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015); #Lucky Number (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015), which stars opposite Method Man; and the movies Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high-school before she graduated with two majors in vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. Soon after, Milena used her ballet education to appear on Broadway in the show starring Rob Marshall and Sam Mendes "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
